An Ottawa firefighter was rushed to hospital on Wednesday afternoon after falling more than three metres while to battling a fire at a garage in Mechanicsville.
The fire occurred shortly after 2 p.m. at Takaki Automotive, near the intersection of Somerset Street West and Breezehill Avenue,. Firefighters arrived at the business to find flames visible from the roof of the two-storey building.
The extent of the firefighter’s injury was not immediately known. Damages to the business and a cause of the fire were also undetermined.
