No one was injured but a house and a car were struck by gunfire at the intersection of Carruthers and Burnside avenues Thursday night.
Police responded to reports of shots being heard in Mechanicsville just west of Laroche Park at about 11:34 p.m.
They determined that “several” shots had been fired.
No arrests have been made, police said. The guns and gangs unit is investigating.
Police say that anonymous tips can be made by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or by downloading the Ottawa police iOS app.
