A 20-year-old woman was taken to hospital with a serious head injury after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Albion Road and Bank Street on Thursday afternoon.
The Ottawa Paramedic Service responded to the call at 3:13 p.m.
Bystanders, who had come to the woman’s assistance, told paramedics she had hit the car’s windshield and lost consciousness for several minutes.
The woman was conscious upon arrival at hospital and was listed in serious but stable condition.
Ottawa police are investigating.
