Police say there is no danger to the public after a man barricaded himself in an Orléans home Tuesday morning.
A 911 call was made at 10:50 a.m. asking for police to respond to to a home on Belcourt Boulevard near Notre Dame Street. Police wouldn’t say who made the call.
When police arrived, they found a man barricaded inside the home. Police said they don’t know if the man is armed but say there is no immediate danger to the public.
Police said they have sent negotiators to the scene to try to get the man to surrender peacefully.
Belcourt Boulevard is closed in both directions to make room for emergency vehicles.
