A 75-year-old man from Denholm, Que., about 55 kilometres north of Ottawa has been charged with dangerous driving causing the death of Richard Labelle, also of Denholm, on Sept. 18.
Police allege expert analysis indicates a car driven by Roger Lemieux was travelling at excessive speeds “before … and during” a collision with Labelle’s car on a secondary road.
The vehicles were travelling in the same direction and Lemieux’s car collided with Labelle’s car.
Lemieux was to appear in Gatineau court Thursday.
