Ottawa Fire Services were called to a building at Somerset and Percy streets Wednesday morning for a fire above the popular Daily Grind coffee shop.
The calls came in shortly after 11 a.m. and firefighters were greeted by heavy smoke billowing from the low rise structure.
Three alarms were quickly called, largely because the fire site was abutted by older buildings.
There were no injuries reported.
