A Gatineau woman figured she was the target of a Just for Laughs-style prank when a store clerk told her she had won $1 million, the Quebec lottery agency reports.
Linda Michaud’s first reaction, says Lotto-Québec, was to look for the hidden cameras.
After verifying that the Lotto Max ticket she had bought for the Sept. 25 draw was indeed a winner, Michaud and her husband, Alain Latour, collected her prize on Oct. 30 at the Casino du Lac-Leamy.
She bought the ticket at L’Instant tobacco shop in the Galeries Aylmer shopping centre, the lottery agency said.
