Ottawa police are looking for suspects in two separate shootings two hours apart that have sent two victims to hospital.
In the first incident, a 16-year-old boy was in serious but stable condition in hospital Monday after being shot in the face and back with what’s believed to be a shotgun in Sandy Hill.
Police were searching for information on a black Mustang convertible seen fleeing the scene.

A neighbour, who asked that his name not be used, said he “heard a very loud bang” just after 3 p.m.
Minutes later, police and paramedics responded to the shooting in the area of Besserer and Chapel streets. The boy’s jacket was full of small holes, suggesting he’d been hit with birdshot. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.

As well, Ottawa police say they are looking for two suspects after a shooting in the west end, in the area of Merivale and Baseline roads, at about 5:30 Monday afternoon.
Police describe one of the suspects as a black man, 20-25 years old, carrying a handgun. The other is described as a Middle Eastern man, 25 years old, with brown hair.
The victim in this shooting suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Anyone with information in this shooting is asked to call west district investigators at 613-236-1222 ext. 2666.
