Ottawa firefighters made quick work Saturday on a smoky fire at a two-storey home under renovation at 55 Melville Dr., south of Fallowfield Road.
Firefighters received several 911 calls reported the fire shortly before 3 p.m.
Crews confirmed a working fire and called for extra personnel and equipment.
Estimated damages were $100,000 to the building and $50,000 for contents.
There were no reported injuries and victim services were not required.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
