National Capital Commission staff came to the rescue of a young female moose that found itself trapped in an Orléans backyard Tuesday morning.
Police were called to a house on Lunenberg Crescent near Champneuf Drive around 8:10 a.m. after residents spotted the animal in their neighbour’s backyard.
When officers arrived the animal appeared frightened but calm and they contacted NCC experts.
The agency reported on Twitter that the animal was returned to the nearby Mer Bleue wilderness area.
