Ottawa police are searching through farmers fields near the intersection of Highway 7 and Dwyer Hill Road after a man involved in an early morning assault fled into nearby farm fields.
According to police, the suspect was involved in an assault just before 7 a.m. When police responded, the suspect fled.
Reports that man may be armed with a machete or large knife are unconfirmed, according to police. Police have said that the man poses no danger to the public.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the assault, according to police.
