One person has been displaced from their home after an afternoon blaze in the unit of a residential duplex near Mooney’s Bay on Wednesday.
Ottawa Fire Services were called to 2755 Flannery Dr. at 1:27 p.m. where smoke was visible from inside the residence. One person had already evacuated the unit before help arrived. The fire was under control at 1:56 p.m.
Fire services said the unit’s owner will be displaced, but the residents of the neighbouring unit were not at home at the time and will not be displaced.
No injuries were reported, and damage estimates were not available.
