Three people were displaced early Friday when a car fire in a Gatineau garage spread to an adjacent home.
Gatineau fire reported that responders arrived at a residence at 44 Richmond St. at about 9:20 p.m. to find the car engulfed in flames that were spreading to the home’s walls and roof.
Some 25 firefighters went to work to try to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to other nearby homes.
The fire was under control about 70 minutes later. There were no serious injuries reported.
Damages to the fire site were estimated at $120,000. Two neighbouring homes also suffered slight fire damage.
