Popular radio talk show host Lowell Green is retiring from active on-air duties, but will still make daily appearances on area radio waves.
Green, 79, has been host of the Lowell Green Show on 580 AM CFRA since 1993. The morning show had become a home for banter, arguments and complaints about various governments.
Green has been asked to remain in some capacity on CFRA on a daily basis, although what show he will be appearing on and how long he will be on-air has not yet been discussed.
The move comes two months after another well-known CFRA radio personality, Steve Madely, announced his retirement from radio. Madely was 68.
