A 25-year-old Ottawa man was charged on Friday with possession of child pornography.
The Ottawa police Internet child exploitation unit started an investigation on Nov. 25 after a tip was received that a registered sex offender had child pornography on his iPod, police said.
According to police, investigators found 76 images of child pornography on the device.
Geoffrey Bell, 25, is charged with three counts of possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and breach of probation.
He is scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on Saturday.
