A strong, unidentified odour at the Canadian Tire Centre led to firefighters evacuating the building early Sunday morning.
The emergency service received a call about a smell at about 8:17 a.m., requesting helps from the Hazardous Materials team.
The team has set up a blockade around the building through road traffic is not affected.
It is not known if the scheduled performances of Disney On Ice: 100 Years of Magic at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday will be affected. These are the last two performances of the tour in Ottawa.
No injuries have been reported.
