For the fourth year in a row, the City of Ottawa went over budget in 2015 in clearing snow from city streets.
The city had budgeted $59.8 million for their winter operations but came in at $67.4 million, a difference of $7.6 million, according to figures released to the Citizen Tuesday.
In 2014, the city went $11.3 million over their $57.6 million budget.
The deficit was even larger in 2013 at $23.8 million over the $55.3 million budget.
For 2012, the city went $5 million over their $55.2 million budget for winter operations.
The city came in $365,000 under their 2011 $55.2 million budget.
