The Ottawa Police Service is asking for help to locate a 16-year-old girl who went missing from her home in Blackburn Hamlet on February 24th.
According to police, Oleesia Akesuk is described as being about five-feet-four-inches (163 cm) tall, 126 pounds (57 kg) and she wears glasses. She was last seen wearing a black vinyl-type jacket, black jeans and brown Ugg boots. She is of aboriginal descent.
Police said Oleesia’s family is concerned for her wellbeing and request that anyone with information to contact police at 613-236-1222, ext. 2355. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
