Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is continuing to put his stamp on the federal bureaucracy with a shuffle of the top rank of the public service. The move announced Wednesday afternoon involves several key federal departments.
The shuffle involves:
Malcolm Brown, who has been the special advisor to the Clerk of the Privy Council on Syrian refugees, will become deputy minister of Public Safety on April 4. He will replace the retiring Francois Guimont.
Jean-François Tremblay, moves from Transport, Infrastructure and Communities to become deputy minister of Infrastructure on March 14.
Michael Keenan, will move from being associate deputy minister of Natural Resources to become deputy minister of Transport, also on March 14.
Hélène Laurendeau is being promoted from associate deputy minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs to deputy minister of the department on April 4. She replaces the retiring Colleen Swords.
Peter Boehm, who is senior associate deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, becomes DM of International Development.
Diane Jacovella, leaves her post as assistant deputy minister, Global Issues and Development, Global Affairs Canada to become associate deputy minister of Foreign Affairs on March 14.
