A 34-year-old school custodian is facing charges for his interaction with a student under the age of 16 at a home in Smiths Falls.
Smiths Falls police said their investigation began on Wednesday after they received information about the incident.
Shawn Lumsden from Rideau lakes was charged with sexual exploitation and invitation to sexual touching.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
Smiths Falls police said they have informed the school board of the charges.
