Ottawa police robbery detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for a convenience store robbery last month on Carling Avenue.
The suspect wielding a kitchen knife entered the store in the 2900 block of Carling at about 7 p.m. on Feb. 28, and demanded cigarettes and cash. He made off with an undisclosed quantity of cigarettes, but no cash.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, about five-feet-seven-inches tall with a medium build, around 20-25 years old, wearing a solid black hoodie, black jogging pants, a white or grey T-shirt and red sneakers.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa police robbery unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5116. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by downloading the Ottawa police smart phone app.
