After more than a decade of serving diners on Elgin Street the popular restaurant Oz Kafe has announced it’s relocating to the ByWard Market this summer.
The restaurant — which is open only for dinner and late-night service — made the announcement late Thursday evening via their Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts, accompanied with one picture of a banner hanging above their current location, and another of their new home at 10 York Street.
It's official!!! Super exciting changes ahead for us here @ozkafe! Can't wait! #thankyouElgin! @… https://t.co/byM7rQwrl0

Popular among the restaurant industry, Oz Kafe is perhaps best known to Ottawa foodies for the long-standing Chef Appreciation Night, which takes place the last Monday of every month and brings in a different local chef to offer an innovative four-course meal.
Oz Kafe also made headlines in 2013 when their chef at the time, Jamie Stunt, claimed silver in Gold Medal Plates, the Canadian culinary championships — and in 2012 when Stunt took the gold medal for the Ottawa division.
