Seven people were detained and then released after police discovered a gunshot had been fired at some point over the weekend in a Kanata residence, their guns and gangs unit said.
The police were called to a home in the 2000 block of Richardson Side Road just before 4 p.m. on Sunday, where they discovered evidence indicating a single gunshot had been fired some time in the previous 24 hours.
No injuries were reported from the gunshot, which is the 19th in the city this year.
It was believed the shot was fired during a party.
The seven people were arrested as they left the home. All were questioned and released and police do not currently have a suspect.
