The Ottawa Paramedic Service is reporting a head-on, two-vehicle collision on the Vanier Parkway and McArthur, just after 1 a.m on Tuesday. Three patients were treated at the scene, all critically injured.
A male driver age 39, required extrication from his vehicle, He was unconscious and was treated for serious closed head and a serious leg fracture. He was unconscious during extrication and is in critical condition in the trauma unit of the Ottawa Hospital
From the second vehicle, a male, age 24 was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled over. He was unconscious and required assistance with breathing by advanced care paramedics. He also sustained critical closed head injuries, neck injuries as well as multi system trauma.
Also in the second vehicle was a woman age 21, She also was ejected from the vehicle and was unconscious at the scene. She sustained critical, life threatening head injuries as well as multi system trauma.
