A 19-year-old man is dead after a two-vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer in Petawawa early Saturday.
Just before 5 a.m., Ontario Provincial Police responded to the intersection of Highway 17 and Murphy Road.
The 19-year-old driver of the passenger vehicle was declared dead at the scene of the collision. Police did not release his identity.
The driver of the tractor trailer and his passenger, both 53-year-old men, were taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are helping with the investigation, and Hwy. 17 is closed between Black Bay Road and Paquette Road as police investigate.
Local detours are in place as the highway is expected to be closed until late afternoon.
