The Olde Forge Community Resource Centre is seeking board members. It would like to hear from anyone interested in helping make a community support agency better and stronger. It’s particularly interested in candidates with fundraising experience and/or with a social media background. To learn more about The Olde Forge, visit www.oldeforge.ca . … Soi Dog Canada is a non-profit group in support of Soi Dog Foundation that helps homeless, neglected and abused dogs and cats in Thailand, working hard to stop the horrors of the illegal dog meat trade in Asia, to help end cruelty to dogs and improve their welfare. It’s holding a fundraiser on May 1 and will be selling Mother’s Day cards for $5 each at Pet Valu, located at 1980 Ogilvie Rd. in Gloucester. All proceeds will go to Soi Dog Foundation to be used to help animals in need. Check out www.soidog.org for more info about the organization.
