Three people were displaced after a fire at 6 Laniel St. in Gatineau on Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters received a call about the fire at 2:56, and arrived to find that the home had been evacuated.
A shed at the rear of the house was in flames, and the blaze had spread to the roof of the residence. Firefighters attempted an interior attack, but quickly went into a defensive posture outside after it was determined a roof collapse was possible.
Twenty-four firefighters and 10 trucks responded to the blaze, which was deemed under control at 4:34.
Damage was estimated at $189,000.
