One man is in custody following an incident Wednesday morning at the Beacon Hill Shopping Centre on Ogilvie Road.
The east end mall was shut down and evacuated shortly after 9 a.m. after police were called to deal with an armed man.
Police said “are talking with a suspect to see if he will surrender” but stressed “there is no risk to the public.”
At about 10:15 a.m., police confirmed a suspect had been arrested but did not provide further details.
The mall reopened at about 10:30 a.m.
