A serious fire late Thursday badly damaged the popular Bonnie Glen Pavilion banquet hall in North Glengarry, about 100 kilometres from Ottawa.
Speculation is the fire started in the west section of the pavilion where the kitchen facilities are located.
At least five rural stations responded to the fire call.
Owner Michel Diotte had just bought the facility late last year from long-time owner/operator Maurice Ménard.
SDG Ontario Provincial Police spokesperson Const. Joel Doiron said the fire was non-suspicious in nature.
There were no injuries.
