Maybe the film is getting old. I took those photos years ago (in 1999). The CanoScan I have is a flat scanner, I use it with its film/slide adapter. And use Photoshop to resize the picture. I think that's the reason why the quality is not as good as my photos.
If I have money, I will buy a real Nikon film scanner But I will not sell my Nikon F3, which I have used for more than 10 years. The only problem of the F3 is it's weight. Very heavy with the driver MD-4, but I like the weight, it feels good and balanced. Nikon discontinued the F4 but are still making the F3. Why? Great metering system 80/20, great control layout, and the ability to take great pictures in conditions that destroy other cameras. Maybe the best manual SLR ever built except for that flash sync speed. The best camera I have ever used. Sorry I am off topic.
