The Ottawa Police Service is seeking help to identify a suspect believed to have been involved in a convenience store robbery over the weekend.
According to police, a man entered a convenience store located in the 2000 block of Meadowbrook Road on Sunday at around 12:50 a.m. The man proceeded to go behind the counter where he produced a large knife, confronted the clerk and demanded money.
He was provided with an undisclosed amount of cash and a number of cigars from a nearby drawer before fleeing the premises.
There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, between 35 and 40, with brown hair and an average build. At the time, he was wearing baseball cap, light blue jeans, and carried a white plastic bag.
Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to call the Ottawa police at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
