Ontario Provincial Police have charged two Ottawa men after a raid on a commercial property in Beckwith, about 45 kilometres southwest of Ottawa, led to the discovery of a large-scale marijuana grow operation.

According to police, an investigation into allegations of marijuana trafficking led to a raid on the Beckwith property on July 11, when the pair were arrested.

Police confiscated 2012 cannabis plants in various stages of growth, 25 pounds of marijuana buds, 26 grams of cannabis resin (hash) as well as hydroponic growing equipment.

Facing charges related to illegally growing marijuana are Adam Gunderson-Lord, 37, and John Armstrong, 36, both of Ottawa.

They have been released on their own recognizance and are expected to appear in court again on Aug. 15.
