The death of Jeremy Mack last weekend was Ottawa’s tenth homicide of 2016, with five months still to go.
It means the city’s already had three more homicides this year than it’s had in each of the past two years.
In fact, 2016 is on pace to be the worst for homicides in Ottawa since the turn of the millennium.
