Ottawa 2017 preparations reached new heights Wednesday, 150 days before Canada’s 150th birthday, when a volunteer tethered to 150 balloons was sent soaring into the sky over Lansdowne Park.
In a scene reminiscent of the popular animated movie Up, Caroline Lapensée rode skyward below the massed balloons.
The whole thing was tethered to the ground to prevent recreations of previous balloon-related incidents that didn’t end so well.
