Ottawa Fire Services received several 911 calls reporting flames at a home at 554 River Road on Wednesday night just after 11 p.m.
Fire fighters found a working fire in a detached garage and worked to protect the main house from exposure. There were no civilian or fire fighter injuries.
The fire was declared to be under control a short time later.
