Ottawa police, fire and paramedic personnel responded to a call just before 3 p.m. Sunday about an 18-foot boat taking in water and going downstream at the Britannia Yacht Club.
Ottawa Fire Services said in a news release that two people were thought to be on the boat, which was stuck on the rapids.
After arriving on scene, water rescue crews attempted to move the boat but were unsuccessful.
At 3:44, the Ottawa Paramedic Service tweeted that both occupants were on shore and uninjured.
