A male pedestrian was struck and killed by a transport truck in the eastbound lanes of the Queensway at Carling Avenue on Monday night.
The Ottawa Paramedic Service responded to the call at 9:13. The man, estimated to be about 30 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ontario Provincial Police tweeted that all lanes were initially blocked, but at 9:50 sent out another tweet to say that one left lane had been re-opened while all others remained closed.
