Police in Gatineau have launched an investigation after two men, one in a clown mask the other in a clown ‘suit’ and facepaint, wandered through a city park Monday afternoon scaring a number of children.
According to reports received by police, at least two children were scared by the men, one of whom was dragging a chain, at Limbour Park in the Farmers Rapids neighbourhood of old Gatineau.
None of the children were touched or injured by the men.
One of the clowns, wearing a red T-shirt and jeans, clown calmly posed for pictures by a concerned mother before wandering off.
Facebook postings on the incidents garnered dozens of comments from concerned parents.
Police in Gatineau confirmed Wednesday morning that they are investigating the incident.
