A 55-year-old man faces multiple charges after a dog was shot and killed in Val-des-Monts, Que. on Wednesday, said MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais police.
The dog was shot and killed at around 9:45 a.m. on St. Antoine Road “simply because he was on the suspect’s property,” said police in a release Thursday.
The man faces charges of killing an animal, recklessly discharging a firearm, careless use of a firearm and negligent storage of two firearms. Police added there is a possibility other charges will be laid.
The man is set to appear in court Oct. 6.
