A 13-year-old boy was in serious condition after almost drowning in a family swimming pool Saturday, said Ottawa paramedics.
Paramedics received a call at 1:24 p.m. that a boy had been at the bottom of a swimming pool near Ramsayville and Piperville roads in the city’s south end.
The boy was unresponsive but had a pulse when paramedics arrived. Paramedics administered airway management and support by way of providing the boy with an oxygen mask.
He was transported to hospital in serious condition.
