Ottawa paramedics say a 62-year-old man was critically injured Sunday when a large tree branch fell on him.
Paramedics were called to the intersection of Percy and Powell streets at 12:09 p.m. and found the man, who had suffered a critical head injury.
The branch that fell on him was approximately seven metres long and fell from a large tree, according to paramedics. Winds reported by Environment Canada reached 46 km/h Sunday.
The man remains in hospital.
