Ottawa Fire Services was called to assist Gatineau firefighters combat a multi-alarm blaze at 420 Cité-des-Jeunes Blvd. in the former Hull sector Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called at about 10:30 a.m. on reports of flame shooting from a top-floor apartment in the medium rise building near Talbot Street.
The fire spread quickly and by 11 a.m. flames were seen shooting from the roof.
Ottawa fire was called on a mutual-aid basis just before 11 a.m.
There were no injuries reported.
