An Ottawa man has surrendered to police in connection with an attack on a woman at an automated teller machine July 16.
The victim was assaulted as she completed a withdrawal from an ATM at a Merivale Bank branch. She struggled with her attacker, who was scared of when a bank employee intervened.
The victim was not injured.
Dillon Trauter, 30, of Ottawa surrendered to police Wednesday and was to appear in court Thursday on a charge of robbery.
In their investigation, police learned of a similar ATM assault incident at the same Merivale Road location the day before at 10:30 p.m. However, no victim has come forward in that incident and there have been no charges laid.
