Gatineau police are warning residents to be prepared for possible delays on their way home, as the force closes intersections to accommodate motorcades for Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang through the area territory.
The roadblocks will be primarily in the Gull district.
The areas will include the approaches to the Alexandra Bridge, Laurier Street, Sacré-Cœur and Maisonneuve boulevard, as northbound Highway 5, but at times will also include the Chaudière Bridge, Alexandre-Taché Boulevard, Eddy and Montcalm streets, as well as Highway 50 eastbound.
Police said the blockages should be of short duration.
