The Sûreté du Québec says a 77-year-old Ottawa man drowned Saturday near his cottage in Lac des Trente et Un Milles, near Maniwaki.
The man, whose identity was withheld, was found at about 1 p.m. by members of his family who attempted to resuscitate him, without success.
The victim was declared dead at hospital.
Early investigation indicates the victim fell from a dock.
An investigation is continuing although police said the death does not appear suspicious.
