Gatineau driver fined $1,294 for driving at twice the speed limit

A 27-year-old Gatineau man has been fined $1,294 and his license was revoked for seven days after blowing through a speed trap in the city’s east end.

Police say the driver was clocked at 119 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on Atmec Street at about 10:30 p.m.

The driver also received 14 demerits on his license.
