When you buy a used house, you most likely have an established house. Landscaping is likely done. Your yard is likely fenced or hedged. Used homes are more likely in more convenient neighborhoods. When you buy a new house, you often have to build a fence, build a lawn, and landscape. These are extra costs. It also takes a couple of years to do them. The house may have problems which the builder have to go back and fix, if these problems are noticed before the warranty expires.
