Ontario Provincial Police apprehended a man who tried to walk across several lanes of traffic on Highway 417 Saturday morning.
The 28-year-old man, who police allege was carrying a “concealed homemade weapon,” was taken to hospital, according to a news release from the OPP.
Police received several complaints about a pedestrian walking westbound on the centre median of Highway 417 near Regional Road 174.
Officers arrived around 8:20 a.m., and shortly after the pedestrian tried to walk across lanes of traffic. The man was apprehended.
