Ottawa – The Pretoria Bridge (located over the Rideau Canal, connecting the Queen Elizabeth Driveway and Colonel By Drive) will be closed on Sunday, October 16 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to regular maintenance work.
The City of Ottawa is undertaking this work as part of its regular winter preparatory maintenance. The bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic. Cyclists and pedestrians can still use the bridge with only slight delays as work is completed on various sections.
The City is proud to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Pretoria Bridge as an operating lift bridge and a unique historic landmark in the nation's capital.
