Police search for vehicle after woman, 26, dies after being hit at West Hunt Club and Sunderland

The Ottawa police were asking for the public’s assistance to identify a white vehicle involved in a fatal collision on Friday night.
A 26-year-old female pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of West Hunt Club Road and Sunderland Street.
Ottawa paramedics responded to the call at 9:05 and, upon arrival on scene, found the woman without vital signs.
The east and westbound lanes of West Hunt Club Road from Merivale Road to the 300 block area of West Hunt Club remained closed late Friday night. The public was asked to avoid the area.
The Ottawa police collision investigation unit was requesting the public’s help to locate a white vehicle that was operating westbound on the West Hunt Club Road at about 9 p.m. on Friday.
Anyone with information about the vehicle was encouraged to contact the collision investigations section must answer line at 613-236-1222, extension 2481.
